I look at pictures from when I was in “The Unknown” and the brightness of my smile, the energy I had seems so different than it does now.The period of “The Unknown; In Denial and Don’t Want to Assume” was filled with moments of loving life, and enjoying our sweet new son without judgment. It was also riddled with mostly secret moments of frantic wondering. What in the heck is going on?! Is this normal?! This can’t be normal? I hope it is normal! When will it stop?
Our children (or grandchildren) often provide us a chance to enjoy wonderful experiences that we typically would miss as we rush around trying to hold it all together.Recently I was picking our son up from school and he wanted to go explore one of the nearby school buses. He often loves to do this and talk to his bus driver friend, but that particular day we really needed to hurry to the next task!I
First of all what do I mean invest in ourselves? Get that massage, take a day off for yourself, splurge on something you love, sit outside and listen to the birds for a moment, go to a dental or MD apt for your health, invest in a coaching program, sign up for a class in something that interests you, further your education, take time for you to exercise or go to the gym.Now that you have an idea, lets mention a few reasons why we DON’T invest in ourselves
